Syracuse basketball recruiting 4-star London Jemison hard - 'making name for himself'

London Jemison, a four-star wing in the 2025 class from Connecticut who has officially visited Syracuse basketball, continues to prove one of the fast-rising prospects in the high school junior cycle.

In recent months, as recruiting services have updated their 2025 national rankings, the 6-foot-8 Jemison has made some of the largest leaps around the country, and it seems as if his ascension is far from over.

As the AAU season this spring and summer has recently gotten into full swing, Jemison has earned high praise from various national analysts and scouts for his performances to date.

His list of scholarship offers has grown to nearly 20, and there are a handful of suitors recruiting him hard, including the Orange, according to a top expert.

Four-star wing London Jemison appears to be a 2025 priority target for Syracuse basketball.

The 'Cuse coaching staff offered a scholarship to Jemison in late September of last year. Toward the end of December in 2023, he officially visited the Orange. He has also been on an unofficial visit to Big East Conference member Providence, according to media reports.

In a recent article, 247Sports national analyst Dushawn London wrote that the programs currently recruiting Jemison hard include Syracuse basketball, Providence, Xavier, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, Georgetown and Notre Dame.

Jemison is a standout at the powerhouse St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Conn., which is a member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (“NEPSAC”).

On the AAU circuit this spring and summer, he is running with the 17U squad of the Boston-based Expressions Elite in Nike's EYBL league. So far, the EYBL circuit has conducted two sessions, in Memphis, Tenn., and then in the Atlanta area, and Expressions is a perfect 6-0.

Expressions looks every bit the part of a significant contender to potentially cut down the nets at the EYBL's annual Peach Jam tournament, which will take place this July. Through two sessions, Jemison is averaging 20.5 minutes, 12.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest, and he's one of numerous Syracuse basketball four-star and five-star recruits who are playing well in grassroots hoops these days.

Following the latest session in the Atlanta region, London wrote that he was "impressed" by Jemison's play. "The 6-foot-8, 185 pound wing is long, athletic but also efficient and does not hunt shots. While playing alongside other capable scorers, Jemison plays within the game while still leaving an impact," the 247Sports analyst added, with the headline that "LONDON JEMISON IS MAKING A NAME FOR HIMSELF."

All of the main recruiting services have him inside the top 100 nationally of the 2025 cycle. The majority of recruiting Web sites, by extension, rank Jemison as a top-60 overall player and a top-15 small forward/power forward.

In looking at the Orange's evolving 2025 recruiting focus, the 'Cuse appears to be prioritizing several high school juniors who suit up on the wing as a shooting guard/small forward combo or a small forward/power forward combo.

They include Jemison, four-star Shon Abaev from Florida, who was recently offered by the Orange staff, and five-star Sadiq White Jr. from North Carolina, who has unofficially visited Syracuse basketball twice and has SU in his top seven.
