Syracuse football has some analyst buzz for 2027 recruiting target Sidney Rouleau, a four-star offensive tackle and a top-300 national prospect from Canada. Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman has logged a prediction for the Orange to ultimately land the 6-foot-6, 275-pound Rouleau, who is originally from Gatineau, Quebec.

On Tuesday, reports stated that Rouleau had decommitted from Big Ten Conference school Michigan. He verbally pledged to the Wolverines in late March of this year.

This past weekend, as Inside the Loud House reported, Rouleau took an official visit to Syracuse football. I'm told the visit went well. Could a verbal pledge to the 'Cuse by Rouleau be imminent? We'll have to wait and see.

The Orange coach staff offered a scholarship to Rouleau on March 29, 2024, according to his X page.

Syracuse football has some analyst buzz for 2027 four-star offensive tackle Sidney Rouleau.

Rouleau is a senior at the Brook Hill School in Bullard, Texas. ESPN lists him as a four-star prospect, No. 254 nationally, No. 25 at offensive tackle and No. 34 in Texas within the senior cycle. The 247Sports Composite and the Rivals Industry composite ratings system both place him as a high-three-star player and in the top 600 overall of the 2027 class.

Last weekend, Rouleau was one of numerous high school prospects at the JMA Wireless Dome as Syracuse football won its second straight game, beating then-No. 19 SMU by a final score of 30-27. Those on hand included SU verbal commits and recruiting targets in different classes.

In attendance for the SMU game were several Orange 2027 verbal pledges, such as four-star running back Elijah Kimble, three-star defensive lineman Jason Lewis, three-star edge Bradyn Paulozzi and three-star wide receiver Noah Collins-Howard. Syracuse football 2028 verbal commit Omari Lawson, a four-star offensive tackle, was in Syracuse for a game-day visit, too.

To date, the 'Cuse coaching staff has 25 verbal commits in its high school senior cycle. This Syracuse football 2027 class is No. 37 nationally, per 247Sports, and checks in at No. 44 overall, according to the Rivals Industry. Should the Orange pick up a pledge from Rouleau ahead of the early signing period that arrives in early December, that would likely move SU's 2027 cycle even higher on a national scale.
