Syracuse football 2027 recruiting target Sidney Rouleau, a four-star offensive tackle, has decommitted from Big Ten Conference school Michigan, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-6, 275-pound Rouleau, who is originally from Gatineau, Quebec, took an official visit to the Orange this past weekend, Inside the Loud House reported on Monday. Whether or not Rouleau might ultimately pledge to the 'Cuse remains to be seen; however, there appears to be mutual interest between the Canadian product and Syracuse football coaches.

Rouleau verbally pledged to the Wolverines in late March of this year. The Orange staff offered him a scholarship on March 29, 2024, according to his X page.

A senior at the Brook Hill School in Bullard, Texas, Rouleau is rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN. Other recruiting services list him as a high-three-star player in the 2027 cycle. ESPN places Rouleau at No. 254 nationally, No. 25 at offensive tackle and No. 34 in Texas.

Both the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking have Rouleau inside the top 600 nationally of the high school senior class.

Rouleau was one of numerous high school prospects who were in attendance at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday as the 'Cuse upset then-No. 19 SMU in a thrilling 30-27 comeback win. Those visitors included Syracuse football 2027 verbal commits along with recruiting targets across various classes.

To date, the Orange coaching staff has secured verbal pledges from 25 high school seniors, including a couple of four-star commits. At this juncture, SU's 2027 cycle is No. 37 nationally, per 247Sports, and No. 42, according to the 247Sports Composite. This Syracuse football senior class checks in at No. 44 overall and No. 11 in the Atlantic Coast Conference via the Rivals Industry composite ratings system.

The early signing period for high school seniors will arrive in early December. The regular signing period comes in early February of next year. Third-year head coach Fran Brown has already delivered several of the highest-ranked classes in Orange history, and 2027 is tracking that way, too.
