Syracuse basketball will put a two-game winning streak on the line when the Orange welcomes fellow Empire State squad Hofstra to the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday afternoon.

After going 0-3 at the Players Era Festival in Las Vegas, the 'Cuse has defeated then-No. 13 Tennessee in the ACC/SEC Challenge and also Saint Joseph's this past Thursday night, with both games coming at home.

Now Syracuse basketball will host Hofstra out of the Coastal Athletic Association ("CAA’"), which was picked to finish at No. 8 in the league's preseason poll. The Pride, in the 2025-26 season, has won two straight as well, including a December 7 road victory against fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Pittsburgh.

The Orange and the Pride will tip off at 4:00 pm EST on Saturday, Dec. 13, on the Hill. The ACC Network will air this non-conference contest. In their short all-time series together, Syracuse basketball holds a 3-0 advantage.

The 'Cuse is 6-3 overall and 5-0 so far this season at home. Hofstra, meanwhile, is 7-4 overall and 3-4 on the road in 2025-26. In the latest NCAA NET rankings, Syracuse basketball is No. 81. The Pride is No. 95. Over at KenPom, the Orange is No. 67; Hofstra is No. 119.

At the time of this writing, FanDuel had the 'Cuse as a 10.5-point betting favorite, with the over/under set at 140.5 points. Hofstra junior guard Cruz Davis is a player to watch. He is averaging 20.6 points, 4.9 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game while making 49.2 percent from the field, 66.7 percent from the free-throw line and 42.6 percent from beyond the arc.

Hofstra averages 78.6 points per contest while allowing 66.0 points. The Pride also averages 38.1 rebounds, 15.0 assists, 3.9 blocks, 6.1 steals and 11.7 turnovers per contest while connecting on 47.3 percent from the field, 71.2 percent from the free-throw line and 35.2 percent from downtown.

Syracuse basketball, on the other hand, averages 73.0 points per affair while giving up 64.4 points. The Orange also averages 35.7 rebounds, 13.7 assists, 6.1 blocks, 7.8 steals and 10.9 turnovers per game.
