The annual ACC Football Kickoff takes place in Charlotte, N.C., this week, and we'll keep tabs on coverage of Syracuse.

The event will run from Tuesday, July 22, until Thursday, July 24. For 'Cuse fans, you'll want to hone in on Wednesday, July 23, in particular. Atlantic Coast Conference schools in focus on that day include Syracuse football, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest.

At some point this week, I assume that the ACC's preseason media poll ahead of the 2025 season will get disclosed. I wouldn't expect the Orange to reside too high in this poll, but that's why the games are played on the field.

To that end, my guess is that Clemson will be anointed the favorite to win the ACC in 2025, with other top contenders including Miami, SMU, Louisville and Georgia Tech, among others.

According to a recent press release from ESPN, the ACC Network will have three consecutive days of live programming at the ACC Football Kickoff, from 9 am to 5 pm EST on July 22 to July 24.

More details on Syracuse football at the 2025 ACC Football Kickoff.

Per Syracuse Athletics, besides head coach Fran Brown, Orange players participating in this event include defensive back Berry Buxton, punter Jack Stonehouse, tight end Dan Villari and quarterback Rickie Collins.

According to cuse.com, in the morning on Wednesday, Brown and the players will tape content with ESPN's College Gameday, ACC Network Features, the ACC Digital Network, The CW and CBS.

There will be a Syracuse football press conference from noon to 12:30 pm on the ACC Network Extra. Brown will be on the ACC Network for a live interview at 12:30 pm. He and the players will conduct further interviews throughout the day via radio and television. It should prove a fun event!

The Orange's preseason fall camp will get going soon, ahead of the 2025 campaign opener in late August against Tennessee in Atlanta.

Syracuse football's 2025 docket is a brutal one, with non-conference games against the Volunteers and also at Notre Dame, the national runner-up a stanza ago. The 'Cuse will also travel, in Atlantic Coast Conference competition, to Clemson, SMU, Georgia Tech and Miami.

As I've said, though, even if the Orange doesn't win 10 games in 2025, as it did in 2024, that doesn't mean this coming term should be a disappointment. Syracuse football has a tough schedule, and it has had to replace a lot of key production on offense and defense.
