High school football prospects are expected to be at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday as Syracuse football will host one of its junior days.
Syracuse basketball is coming off disappointing consecutive losses to Boston College, on the road, and to Virginia Tech, at home. Miami, meanwhile, has recently fallen at Clemson by 10 points and to Florida State, at home, by two points.
At the time of this writing, the Hurricanes had an NCAA NET ranking of No. 36 overall, making this a quadrant-two contest for Syracuse basketball, which is No. 75 in the NET. Miami, per the Bracket Matrix Web site, is projected as a No. 9 seed in this spring's Big Dance.

How to watch Syracuse basketball against Miami on Saturday.
The Orange and Miami, which is led by first-year head coach Jai Lucas, are slated to tip off on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2:00 pm EST, with television coverage on the ACC Network. This week, the Hurricanes are receiving votes in the Associated Press and Coaches' top-25 polls. According to SU Athletics, Syracuse basketball is 20-13 in its all-time series against Miami.
So far in the 2025-26 season, the Hurricanes have defeated Jacksonville, Bethune-Cookman, Stetson, Elon, Delaware State, Georgetown, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, UL Monroe, Florida International, North Florida, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame. On the other hand, Miami has lost to Florida, BYU, Clemson and Florida State.
The Hurricanes have a high-octane offense, averaging 84.9 points per game while allowing 68.9 points. They average 38.8 rebounds, 17.6 assists, 8.5 steals, 3.2 blocks and 11.6 turnovers per contest while making 50.6 percent from the field, 68.9 percent from the free-throw line and 33.4 percent from beyond the arc.
Conversely, the Orange scores 75.6 points per encounter while giving up 68.1 points. The 'Cuse averages 36.1 rebounds, 13.4 assists, 6.6 steals, 6.4 blocks and 11.9 turnovers per game while connecting on 47.0 percent from the field, 63.6 percent from the charity stripe and 33.8 percent from downtown.
Lately, Syracuse basketball is shooting better from the free-throw line and 3-point land. One of the main issues for the 'Cuse is that it can't put two complete halves together, whether it comes to good flow on offense, taking care of the ball, free-throw attempts disparity, fast-break points and points off turnovers.
Miami enters this ACC clash on Saturday having lost two in a row, so the Hurricanes will be hungry for a win. Syracuse basketball needs to up its game and handle the 'Canes to halt its own two-game skid.
