Syracuse basketball descends upon Charlotte, N.C., this week to play in an annual post-season event that it has struggled in since moving from the Big East Conference to the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Orange headed to the ACC beginning in the 2013-14 campaign. Since then, the 'Cuse has performed poorly in the annual ACC Tournament. This term, Syracuse basketball (13-18, 7-13 in the ACC) is enduring its worst campaign in numerous decades. However, the program did qualify for the 2025 ACC Tournament, which only takes the top 15 schools out of the league's 18 members.
What's more, this past Saturday on senior night, Syracuse basketball played one of its best games of the 2024-25 stanza, knocking off Virginia by a final of 84-70 at the JMA Wireless Dome in the regular-season finale. Hopefully, that outcome gave the Orange a smidge of momentum entering the ACC Tournament.
