Syracuse picked up a major road win today at Clemson, establishing the Orange as one of the teams to beat in the ACC this season and likely ending Clemson's reign at the top of the conference.
Steve Angeli led the way in the 34-21 victory with 244 passing yards and two touchdown passes before he left the game with a lower-leg injury that is feared to be serious. The Orange jumped out to a 10-0 lead and did not look back, leading by as many as 20 points in the second half.

With Angeli out, Rickie Collins came in and almost immediately threw a touchdown pass to Justus Ross-Simmons to make the score 34-14 after three quarters. The Orange were aggressive on offense all day, attacking Clemson with a downfield passing game that put the Tigers on their heels and converted an onside kick.
"I think when you're playing a really good football team you have to put it all out there," Brown added in his post-game press conference. "We were playing to win the game today, we weren't just playing to try to stay in the game. We felt like they were the best defense in the country. I said, 'let go at them and see who we are."

In his post-game comments with ESPN, head coach Fran Brown said he is comfortable with both of his quarterbacks and was proud of Collins.
"It proved to me that Rickie could come in and play, so we wasn't worried. Just call the same thing. Our quarterback's real tough. We'll see what happens with Steve, but I was happy for Rickie, right? He worked his butt off to be able to do the same thing," Brown said.
Brown shows full respect for Swinney, Clemson.
Right now the Clemson fanbase is a little riled up at Dabo Swinney, as expected, but Brown talked about how much he respected the Clemson program and what Swinney has been able to build over two decades.
"This just proves that Syracuse is playing one game at a time. I mean we're a family, so we love each other. I don't really know what to say. We got a chance to beat, to me, who I still think is one of the best teams in college football," Brown said. "I guarantee within the next week, you'll see [Clemson] click and they gonna go run off about eight straight. They're coached by a great man, and it's a good team."
