Bryce Williams, a former Syracuse football recruiting target, has de-committed from fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Florida State, according to media reports.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Williams is a 2027 four-star defensive back out of Western High School in Davie, Fla., within the Fort Lauderdale/Miami metropolitan area. Here are some of his statistics for the 2025 season via MaxPreps.
Per his X page, the Orange coaching staff offered a scholarship to Williams on August 25 of this year. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the 'Cuse pursues him again, now that Williams has de-committed from the Seminoles and reopened his recruitment.

The Syracuse football staff, led by head coach Fran Brown and general manager Tommy Caporale, has fared quite well recruiting in the Sunshine State within various recruiting cycles, including the Orange's 2026 class, the program's highest-ranked one in the modern recruiting services era.
One of the Orange's 2026 signees is four-star defensive back Tedarius Hughes of Miami Northwestern Senior High School, who flipped from Florida State to the 'Cuse in early November.
Let's see if Syracuse football pursues 2027 4-star DB Bryce Williams again.
According to his X page, Williams has picked up new scholarship offers from teams such as Wisconsin, Florida International and Michigan. Per 247Sports, his full offer sheet also includes Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, N.C. State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, Southern California and West Virginia, among others.
Within the 2027 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Williams at No. 225 overall, No. 23 at cornerback and No. 21 in Florida. The industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking has him at No. 218 nationally, No. 23 at cornerback and No. 22 in Florida.
To date, the Orange coaching staff has secured eight verbal pledges in its 2027 cycle. At the time of this writing, Syracuse football's 2027 class ranked No. 8 around the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. This cycle includes numerous three-star prospects along with four-star athlete Tristin Hughes from Ohio.
