Genry McNamara got the dream job, now he's going to get his dudes.
Ryan Moesch, a four-star shooting guard, officially received his release from Siena and is expected to join GMac at Syracuse, giving him a solid young player to start his program build. Moesch, who originally chose the Saints over Providence, is considered a top-150 player in the nation.

McNamara led Siena into the NCAA tournament this season for the first time since 2010 and the Saints almost pulled off one of the biggest upsets in school history before falling to No. 1 Duke, 71-65.
Expect a few members of that Saints team to join GMac in Syracuse. Gavin Doty, a sophomore guard who was the MVP of the MAAC tournament, has already announced his intentions to transfer and would be a natural choice to lead the Orange on the floor next floor. Also, freshman 6-foot-7 forward Francis Folefac is expected to make a decision soon. However, the Orange might have some competition on the transfer market for the bulky paint presence that averaged 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season.
4-star guard likely to follow McNamara to Syracuse
McNamara was announced as the new Orange coach earlier this week, replacing Adrian Autry, who was fired after three lackluster seasons. GMac is a Syracuse legend who was a major part of the great 2003 national championship team led by Carmelo Anthony. He went on to become a two-time All-Big East first-team performer and his No. 3 jersey sits high in the rafters.
Now his goal is to bring the magic back to Syracuse basketball. The Orange have fallen behind in this new era of college athletics and the program that reached the Final Four five times under Jim Boeheim hasn't been in the tournament since 2021. GMac hopes that bringing in young players like Moesch and a year of growth and development for emerging talent Kiyan Anthony will lead to lots of wins.
