Chase Foster II, a 2028 three-star defensive lineman from Georgia, plans to take a spring unofficial visit to Syracuse football on March 21, according to 247Sports.

Other schools that the 6-foot-4, 255-pound Foster will visit in the upcoming weeks include Rutgers, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Florida State and Texas A&M, per a post on X from Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports.

The Orange coaching staff offered a scholarship to Foster in April of 2024. According to his X account, Foster visited the Syracuse football program last October, too.

Per recruiting services, his full offer sheet totals at least 20 high-major programs such as Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Rutgers, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and SMU, among others.

Syracuse football will be busy this spring and summer, welcoming high school prospects to the Hill.

As a sophomore in the 2025 campaign, Foster had an award-winning season at Dutchtown High School in Hampton, Ga. According to recruiting services, the talented defensive end/defensive tackle will spend his junior term at the powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

IMG is one of the top high school football programs around the nation. In 2025, the Ascenders went 9-0 and were ranked No. 7 across the country and No. 1 in talent-laden Florida, according to MaxPreps.

While his recruiting process could have a way to go, analysts say that Florida State is well-positioned with Foster. Other suitors that are in the mix include the Orange and Michigan, among others.

Within the 2028 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Foster at No. 138 overall, No. 17 at defensive lineman and No. 25 in Georgia. Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, he is No. 132 nationally, No. 13 at defensive lineman and No. 24 in Florida.

As I noted this past Saturday, 2028 four-star defensive back/wide receiver Zion Davis of Miami Central High School is expected to visit Syracuse football for its annual spring game on April 11. In this cycle, the 6-foot, 160-pound Davis is in the top 65 nationally and in the top 10 at cornerback.
