If Syracuse basketball coaches aren't already in pursuit of 2028 four-star point guard Michai White, they should be.
The 6-foot-1 White is capturing the attention of national analysts, scouts and media members alike for his play on Nike's EYBL circuit. Case in point, as the EYBL's annual season-ending Peach Jam tournament has gotten underway in North Augusta, S.C., the future five-star prospect went off while playing up two divisions.

White is a rising sophomore, but he is suiting up for the 17U team of the Albany, N.Y.-based City Rocks. On Tuesday, as Peach Jam commenced, he scored 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field, while also tallying six rebounds, one assist and three steals.

24 points on 9-of-12 shooting to lead @TheCityRocks to a win over @Arizona_Unity. Added six boards and three steals.
Special talent. https://t.co/8lDXUym4Z1
The City Rocks defeated another high-quality EYBL team, the Phoenix-based Arizona Unity, by a final count of 87-77. Here's the upcoming schedule for City Rocks at Peach Jam. Throughout the spring and summer for City Rocks, White has produced several other double-digit scoring outputs.
By the way, Orange general manager Alex Kline follows White on X. Hopefully, that's an indication that the 'Cuse staff is going to make a run at this top-25 national prospect.
Syracuse basketball has offered a teammate of 2028 four-star point guard Michai White.
Last month, word broke that White was transferring from the St. Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark, N.J., to the powerhouse Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., which is led by an excellent head coach, Jason Smith.
Given that, over the years, Syracuse basketball coaches have recruited prospects from Brewster and City Rocks, I'd love to see the Orange take a look at @moneymichai. Seems like a highly talented young man. 🧡🔽 https://t.co/XolJ4bbo9n

In the 2024-25 season, Brewster was a top-five national team, and it competes in the loaded Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic ("EYBL Scholastic"). Late last month, the Orange offered a Brewster rising junior, 2027 four-star wing/small forward Clyde Walters.

Game is buoyed bby his quickness in the open-floor and propensity for quarterbacking a team, beyond his years know how between the ears https://t.co/0KMSAsjfRa
In late May, White was named one of 18 finalists for the 2025 USA U16 national team following a training camp in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Per recruiting services and his social media accounts, White's early scholarship offer sheet includes schools such as Auburn, Louisville, Rider, Hampton, San Diego, Northwestern and Alcorn State. His offer list will surely grow, especially once the 2028 contact period opens on June 15 of next year, enabling college coaches to initiate direct communication with players in this cycle.
When ESPN recently updated its 2028 national rankings, White checked in at No. 22 overall and No. 3 at point guard. As other recruiting Web sites update and expand their ratings for this class, experts say that White will likely emerge as a five-star, top-20 national prospect in 2028.
To date, I'm aware of at least seven 2028 prospects who have landed offers from Syracuse basketball. They are:
•Guard Ian Archbold
•Center Toussaint Malukila
•Four-star point guard Tai Bell
•Five-star shooting guard Colton Hiller
•Small forward Will Brunson
•Four-star wing Xavier Skipworth
•Point guard Tyylon Ennis
