Syracuse basketball commit Aiden Tobiason, a four-star transfer guard from Temple, performed well at the recent NBA G League Combine, according to several national analysts and scouts.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound sophomore, part of head coach Gerry McNamara's six-member transfer portal class to date this offseason, will be a major contributor for the Orange during the 2026-27 season. Tobiason, from my perspective, could absolutely lead the 'Cuse in scoring this coming campaign.
I did not watch these games, I'm not in Chicago. I'm purely going off of what scouts told me.

I like Tobiason as an intriguing long-term guy but think he should clearly go to Cuse.
Tobiason, not long after pledging to Syracuse basketball, told Syracuse.com that he would go through the pre-draft process, but don't worry, SU fans: He is expected to play for the Orange as a junior.
The G League Combine took place from May 8 to May 10 in Chicago, with 44 (#OnBrand) prospects invited to compete. The annual event provides an opportunity for players to participate in scrimmages as well as strength and agility drills in front of pro scouts, coaches and front-office executives.
Multiple experts gave a shout-out to Tobiason for how he fared at the combine, both in terms of his testing/measurements and his play during the scrimmages. In a scrimmage on Sunday, he played just under 21 minutes and led his team in scoring, with 13 points.
Syracuse commit Aiden Tobiason with some nice moments as the youngest player in the camp. Great length, shoots a pretty ball, competes defensively. Turns 20 tomorrow. Intriguing one to keep on the draft radar for 2027 and beyond. https://t.co/HFpfjRpFjc

Tobiason also had two rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot while going 4-of-9 from the field, 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line.
By the way, sending props to former Syracuse basketball players Quadir Copeland of N.C. State and Chris Bell of California, who also suited up at the recent combine.
Syracuse basketball transfer commit Aiden Tobiason is an excellent scorer.
In the 2025-26 season, Tobiason had a breakout sophomore campaign at Temple. He averaged 35.3 minutes, 15.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while making 48.0 percent from the field, 33.8 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Monster game from Purdue's Trey Kaufman-Renn with 17+12.
USC's Jacob Cofie did a little bit of everything on both ends.
Oostende's Noam Yaacov made some high level passes and added 13 points. pic.twitter.com/2n873dF2K7
In national transfer rankings from 247Sports, Tobiason checks in as four stars, No. 104 overall and No. 16 at shooting guard.

After Tobiason's first scrimmage at the combine, NBA Draft expert and scouting consultant Maxwell Baumbach had this to say: "Aiden Tobiason didn’t have the biggest counting numbers, but there was a real argument to be made that he was the highest upside prospect on the floor. He was super active, attentive, and competitive. He made decisions quickly when he had the ball and showed enough of the dribble-pass-shoot elements of his game to remain intriguing on that end. Tobiason really got after it on defense, too, shutting opponents down at the point-of-attack. This class is really short on dribble-pass-shoot wings, and players who fit that criteria often don’t have Tobiason’s length or bounce. I’m getting very excited about him."
Love to see that for Aiden!
