Syracuse basketball coaches continue to make some early scholarship offers to top-flight prospects in the 2028 recruiting cycle.

One of those latest offers went out to five-star shooting guard and top-15 national prospect Colton Hiller, who had an All-American freshman season for his high school program in Pennsylvania.

The 6-foot-6 Hiller disclosed his offer from the Orange in recent days via his X page. A huge congrats to Colton!

Hiller is a rising sophomore at Coatesville Area High School in Coatesville, Pa., near Philadelphia. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. This past April, he was named to the MaxPreps freshman All-America third team.

Syracuse basketball is amping up its 2028 recruiting efforts.

Earlier this month, Hiller was a key contributor as the USA Basketball U16 national team won the gold medal at the FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup in Juarez, Mexico. According to the FIBA Web site, Hiller averaged 13.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while making 47.4 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 62.5 percent from the free-throw line.

According to recruiting services, Hiller's early scholarship offer sheet includes teams such as Kansas State, Penn State, NJIT and La Salle. Obviously, his offer list will significantly expand as his recruitment carries on.

ESPN, within the 2028 class, ranks Hiller as No. 13 overall, No. 4 at shooting guard and No. 1 in Pennsylvania.

During the current AAU season, Hiller has shined for the 15U team of the Bronx, N.Y.-based PSA Cardinals in Nike's EYBL league. Per this circuit's Web site, he has averaged 20.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game while hitting 45.3 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from downtown and 87.5 percent from the charity stripe.

In July, the PSA Cardinals will compete in the EYBL's season-ending tournament in the 15U division, the annual Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C.

Not too long ago, Syracuse basketball coaches offered scholarships to two other 2028 players. They are four-star guard/small forward Xavier Skipworth from the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area and 2028 point guard Tyylon Ennis from Texas.

Per 247Sports, the Orange staff is also showing an interest in 2028 prospects Billy Stanfield III, a wing, and Jaylen Allen, a forward, who are both from the Baltimore region.
