It's truly a shame that the Clemson Tigers didn't come to Syracuse this season, as the conference matchup was put on pause just as the second half was kicking off due to a weather delay because of lightning in the area.
In the first half, the Syracuse Orange took what they wanted: 24 points, a successful onside kick, and a dominant lead over the ACC powerhouse.
However, just before the Orange could get back to business, lightning struck and the two teams retreated back to their locker rooms as fans took cover around the stadium and on Clemson's campus.
Of course, if the game had been in Syracuse, the two teams would have been Inside the Loud House, and a weather delay wouldn't have been possible in the first place.
A lightning warning has been issued for the area within eight miles around Memorial Stadium. For your safety, we ask that you please move to a safer location underneath the stadium.

LJC, Fike, Brackett, and Sirrine Hall are available for those outside the stadium.
Just one quarter into the game, Syracuse head coach Fran Brown was giving the Tigers the benefit of the doubt, toting them as one of the best teams in the country and giving the nod to Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik.
However, by halftime, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was ripping into his defense and disappointed in his offense as the Orange held a 24-14 lead with just two quarters remaining.
As the Tigers defense struggled to slow down the Orange, the only thing that could have slowed down Syracuse's offense was, quite literally, a weather delay.
About 10 minutes after the weather delay had been announced, Clemson athletics and football had yet to announce when play would resume as the two teams patiently waited to get back to action.
