These days, the quarterback position for Syracuse football in its 2026 class appears to be top of mind.
Recently, a three-star quarterback verbally pledged to the Orange. A four-star signal-caller included the 'Cuse in his top four.
And another four-star QB seems to be high on Syracuse football, too.
Chad Simmons, On3's director of recruiting, recently published an article on 2026 four-star quarterback Luke Fahey. The piece is a subscriber exclusive, so I won't be sharing details.
Mission Viejo (Calif.) 4-star QB Luke Fahey has OVs to Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Ole Miss and Stanford locked in. Cal could get one too.

However, the publicly available headline of Simmons' story read, "4-star QB Luke Fahey eyes Syracuse, Stanford and Texas Tech as top Schools."
I like it.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Fahey disclosed his scholarship offer from the Orange, led by head coach Fran Brown, on January 1 of this year.
Fahey had a standout junior campaign in 2024 at Mission Viejo High School in Mission Viejo, Calif., a program that finished the most recent season at 10-1 overall and ranked No. 16 around the country by MaxPreps.
Syracuse football has some intriguing developments going on with 2026 quarterback targets.
As far as I can tell, Fahey hasn't yet taken a trip to the Hill, so I'll be curious to see if he ends up traveling to Central New York to visit the 'Cuse program. In various recent articles, Fahey has spoken highly of Syracuse football.
It also doesn't hurt that in the 2024 stanza, the Orange went 10-3 and finished as the No. 20 team in the final Associated Press top-25 poll. Plus, the squad's quarterback, senior Kyle McCord, led the nation in total passing yards while also setting several Syracuse football and Atlantic Coast Conference records.
According to recruiting services, Fahey holds more than two dozen scholarship offers from a range of high-major programs. When I wrote this column, there was one prediction in Stanford's direction for Fahey on Rivals.com.
Both the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, within the 2026 cycle, place him in the top 400 overall and the top 25 at quarterback.
Currently, Rivals.com is the most bullish on Fahey, situating him at No. 152 nationally, No. 13 at quarterback and No. 22 in talent-rich California.
In recent days, 2026 three-star quarterback Zaid Lott of the Providence Day School in Charlotte, N.C., flipped his verbal commitment from North Carolina to Syracuse football. Also, 2026 four-star quarterback and top-250 national prospect Derek Zammit of DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, N.J., included the Orange in his top four, along with Alabama, Mississippi State and Washington.
To date, the 'Cuse has at least 12 verbal pledges among high school juniors, with the 247Sports Composite rating Syracuse football's 2026 class at No. 14 nationwide.
