I think we can, hopefully, say adios to the flip rumors regarding Syracuse football 2026 commit Kamron Wilson, a four-star edge and a top-300 national prospect in the rising senior class from the Sunshine State.
In a post via his X page on Thursday, the 6-foot-5, 220-pound Wilson said that he's canceled his official visit to fellow Atlantic Coast Conference school Florida State this weekend and will instead take an unofficial visit to the Orange.
Syracuse four star edge commit Kamron Wilson cancels Florida State official to come back to Central New York. Wilson told me he’s 100% locked into the Orange after his official last weekend.

Last weekend, Wilson officially visited the 'Cuse, and after that trip to Central New York, he told top 247Sports analyst Mike McAllister that he was "100% locked in" with head coach Fran Brown and the Syracuse football program.
Heck. Yeah.
Syracuse football will get a second visit in a row from 4-star edge commit Kamron Wilson.
Recently, per McAllister, Wilson has taken official visits to Mississippi State, Nebraska and UCF. After his official visit to Nebraska out of the Big Ten Conference, there was some analyst buzz on the 247Sports Web site and the On3 Web site projecting Wilson to flip from the Orange to the Cornhuskers.
Let's say goodbye to those rumors, unless something transpires out of the blue (or red?), which can happen in the fickle recruiting world. A dead period in college football recruiting runs from June 23 until July 31, so the fact that Wilson is returning to Central New York leads me to believe that the 'Cuse is in a great spot with Wilson, who verbally pledged to Syracuse football in late March of this year.
That being said, the early signing period for 2026 prospects won't transpire for numerous months, so we'll have to see if Brown and his assistants can continue to hang on to Wilson until he puts pen to paper.
Currently, ESPN has him at No. 271 overall in the 2026 class, along with the No. 34 defensive end. At the time of this writing, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite placed Wilson at No. 399 nationally, No. 37 at edge and No. 58 in talent-rich Florida.
Wilson is a standout rising senior at Miami Southridge Senior High School. Within the Orange's 2026 cycle, the team has numerous verbal commits who hail from the Sunshine State, including four-star edge Jarius Rodgers of Fleming Island High School in Fleming Island, Fla., and four-star offensive tackle Javeion Cooper of Melbourne Central Catholic in Melbourne, Fla.
