The Syracuse football staff under head coach Fran Brown has recruited 2028 four-star defensive lineman Chase Foster II hard for quite a while now.
The 6-foot-4.5, 260-pound Foster, who hails from Georgia and will play his upcoming junior season at the powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., first landed a scholarship offer from the Orange way back in April 2024.
Foster has visited the 'Cuse program on several occasions and speaks regularly with Syracuse football general manager Tommy Caporale. Foster is eyeing a game-day visit to the Orange this fall, although nothing has been finalized at this point, Inside the Loud House is told.

Foster's full scholarship offer sheet is extensive and impressive. At this point in his recruitment, Syracuse football is one of his top schools. Other suitors to monitor include, but are not limited to, Texas, Missouri, Florida State, Kansas State, Arkansas, Illinois and Rutgers.

Foster, as a sophomore, was terrific at Dutchtown High School in Hampton, Ga. For the upcoming 2026 campaign, he transferred to IMG, which is one of the top prep football programs around the country. Last year, the Ascenders went 9-0 and were ranked No. 7 nationally and No. 1 in Florida by MaxPreps.

Per recruiting services, Foster's offer list features teams such as Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kansas State, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Rutgers, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and SMU, among many others.
Within the 2028 class, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Foster at No. 267 overall, No. 29 at defensive lineman and No. 34 in Florida. Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, he is No. 257 nationally, No. 25 at defensive lineman and No. 32 in Florida.
To date, Brown and his staff have one verbal pledge in their 2028 class, four-star offensive tackle and top-125 national prospect Omari Lawson of the Zarephath Academy in Jacksonville, Fla. In the 2028 cycle and other recent recruiting classes, Syracuse football coaches have made the Sunshine State a huge focus.
