Recruiting service 247Sports has published its final national rankings for the 2026 high school class, so let's take a look at where Syracuse basketball commits reside.

The Orange has a trio of 2026 prep signees: They are Ryan Moesch, a point guard from Central New York; Mark Morano Mahmutovic, a wing from Slovenia; and Abdramane Siby, a center from Mali.

Here is where these incoming freshmen are placed in the final 247Sports rankings:

Ryan Moesch
Four stars, No. 147 overall, No. 14 at point guard and No. 4 in Massachusetts

Mark Morano Mahmutovic
Four stars

Abdramane Siby
Not ranked

The industry-generated 247Sports Composite places Syracuse basketball's three-member prep cycle in 2026 at No. 57 around the country.

Over at the industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking, SU's 2026 high school class is No. 92 overall. Mahmutovic and Siby aren't ranked, while Moesch is three stars, No. 142 nationally, No. 22 at his position and No. 4 in Massachusetts.

Earlier this month, ESPN also disclosed its last set of 2026 rankings. Moesch, out of the the Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., is four stars, No. 30 at point guard and No. 3 in Massachusetts.

Syracuse basketball has a 2026 prep class that is underranked and holds a lot of promise.

The Orange moved quickly to land these incoming freshmen. Head coach Gerry McNamara was hired by SU Athletics in March, and he asssembled his assistant staff from there.

Amid the transfer portal being open from April 7 to April 21, Syracuse basketball coaches this offseason have picked up six pledges from college transfers, along with the three prep signees. Currently, the 'Cuse has a roster of 13 players for the upcoming 2026-27 season, with two more scholarships available.

Part of the reason why 247Sports doesn't have Mahmutovic and Siby in its final 2026 rankings is likely due to them both playing ball overseas. As I noted in another recent column, a top data analytics guru is high on Siby as it relates to prospects from Europe who have committed to college programs in the present cycle.

Mahmutovic, too, is praised by international hoops experts as a sharpshooting wing who, if he played in the United States, would be a four-star or even a five-star player.

So while SU's 2026 class doesn't contain five-star prospects from these final 2026 rankings, and the Orange's transfer cycle doesn't include big-time, splashy names, the 'Cuse staff has, on paper, done a nice job recruiting players to fit McNamara's culture.

Will that translate to wins on the court in the 2026-27 stanza? That remains to be seen.
