One of the top wide receivers in the senior class, who is a four-star, top-150 national prospect from New Jersey, plans to take an official visit to Syracuse football this weekend, according to a media report.

Emanuel Ross, a talented 6-foot-2, 200-pound player who holds a scholarship offer from the Orange, is expected to officially visit the ‘Cuse this weekend, per an article from analyst Charles Kang of The Juice Online.

He is one of several highly rated prospects who are planning to make trips to the Hill this coming weekend, which is awesome news.

Ross, who holds more than 20 offers from a range of high-major programs, is a senior at Red Bank Catholic High School in Red Bank, N.J. Per 247Sports, he was offered by the Orange coaching staff in late August of 2022.

Syracuse football will soon host 2024 four-star wide receiver Emanuel Ross on an official visit.

A top-350 national prospect in the 2024 cycle, according to several recruiting services, Ross verbally committed to Pac-12 Conference member Stanford, which is moving to the Atlantic Coast Conference beginning in August of 2024, this past June.

His full offer sheet, besides the ‘Cuse and Stanford, includes college squads such as Boston College, UConn, Duke, Illinois, James Madison, Kentucky, Michigan State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Texas A&M, Virginia, Wake Forest and West Virginia, among others.

According to a post on X, Ross is one of six finalists for the 2023 Zoneman Trophy, which will honor the top player in New Jersey during the 2023 season.

Per an article on the Jersey Sports Zone Web site, Ross was an impact player for Red Bank Catholic in 2023 at wide receiver, defensive back and on special teams. He hauled in 48 catches for 718 yards and 11 scores, along with 27 tackles and one interception for Red Bank Catholic in his senior year.

In the Jersey Sports Zone story, it was noted that in 2023, Red Bank Catholic won its second Non-Public B state championship in the last three terms.

When I wrote this piece, On3 had Ross at No. 128 overall, No. 25 at wide receiver and No. 2 in New Jersey within the 2024 class. At the time of this writing, the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking placed him at No. 297 nationwide, while Ross checked in at No. 310 nationally from the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

It’s important to mention here that the new head coach of Syracuse football, Fran Brown, who was formally introduced by SU Athletics on Monday, is a native of Camden, N.J. Brown has confirmed that Texas A&M co-defensive coordinator and assistant head coach Elijah Robinson will serve as the Orange’s new defensive coordinator.

Both Brown and Robinson, according to national observers, have strong recruiting ties in the state of New Jersey and throughout the Northeast region.

Other ‘Cuse recruits expected to take official visits to Syracuse football this weekend include 2024 four-star wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby out of Winslow Township High School in Atco, N.J., and 2024 four-star edge KingJoseph Edwards out of Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, Ga., among others.
