Syracuse football coaches have proven busy of late welcoming prospects to their camps, securing several verbal commitments and hosting recruits on official visits.

To that end, as far as official visits, this coming weekend, the Orange is expected to have a variety of 2024 targets on the Hill as they officially visit the Syracuse football program. Several of these players have already committed to the ‘Cuse, while others are key recruits at a variety of position groups.

According to some of my recent columns, other media reports including a really good one from SyracuseOnSI publisher Mike McAllister, and social media posts, there could be 10 or more 2024 players on the SU campus this coming weekend on official visits. Fun.

Let’s review some 4-star and 3-star juniors who are planning to officially visit Syracuse football this weekend.

One of the highest-ranked players officially visiting this weekend is 2024 four-star wide receiver Jason Robinson, who is a top-450 national prospect, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound Robinson, offered by the ‘Cuse this past February, is a junior at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, Calif.

Joining him will be 2024 quarterback/athlete Andy Bass, who is a standout for Heritage Hall in Oklahoma City. The 6-foot, 200-pound Bass was offered by the Orange in late May, and Syracuse football is receiving some buzz on Rivals.com in his recruitment. Bass is a star at multiple positions, including quarterback, running back and punter.

Three 2024 prospects who are verbally committed to the Orange are expected to be on the SU campus this coming weekend. They are twin brothers Trashon Dye and Travon Dye, along with Noah Rosahac.

Both the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Travon Dye, a three-star linebacker, and the 6-foot, 190-pound Trashon Dye, a three-star running back, attend the Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, N.J. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Rosahac, a three-star offensive lineman, goes to Jim Thorpe Area High School in Jim Thorpe, Pa.

Other 2024 recruits planning to take official visits to Central New York this weekend include three-star wide receiver Ta’Ron Haile of Millville Senior High School in Millville, N.J., three-star running back Jaden Hart of Michigan City High School in Michigan City, Ind., three-star defensive lineman Elijah Kinsler of Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J., three-star offensive tackle Michael McMonigle of William Penn Senior High School in York, Pa., three-star defensive back/athlete Clinton Robinson of Keystone Oaks High School in Pittsburgh, four-star tight end Jamie Tremble of the Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Ga., and three-star linebacker Zekai Wimberly of West Orange High School in West Orange, N.J.

I’ll certainly follow how the official visits go for these various 2024 prospects. Might we see some additional verbal commitments headed in the direction of Syracuse football in the near future? I sure hope so.
