Three-star junior defensive end Tristen Graham out of Delaware has verbally committed to Syracuse football, according to a media report.

Per an article from recruiting analyst Charles Kang of The Juice Online, the 6-foot-3, 245-pound Graham had planned to make his commitment announcement on Monday. However, a piece by SyracuseOnSI publisher Mike McAllister on Sunday said that Graham committed to the ‘Cuse while on his official visit to the SU campus this weekend.

Kang had logged a prediction in the Orange’s direction for Graham on Rivals.com, which was an encouraging sign for the ‘Cuse coaching staff as it attempted to prevail in Graham’s recruitment.

Graham is a standout All-State edge rusher in the 2024 class who attends Middletown High School in Middletown, Del.

Syracuse football has picked up a verbal commitment from 2024 three-star edge Tristen Graham.

Per his Twitter page, Orange coaches offered a scholarship to Graham on March 21 of this year. According to recruiting services, his offer sheet also includes Buffalo, Campbell, Howard, Michigan State, Old Dominion and Temple. Graham also has offers, noted on Twitter, from Coastal Carolina and Delaware State.

Additionally, recruiting Web sites state that Graham has garnered interest from other college squads such as Penn State, Rutgers, West Virginia, N.C. State and Maryland.

Graham said on Twitter in late May that he was planning to take an official visit to Syracuse football from June 2 to June 4. He had previously visited the Hill toward the beginning of April.

Regarding his recent official visit to the ‘Cuse, Graham said to recruiting analyst Kang that the trip was “great” and “better than expected.” That’s awesome to hear, and it led me to believe that Syracuse football would likely have its name called when Graham disclosed his future collegiate destination.

According to The Juice Online article, Graham is in regular contact with Orange defensive line coach Chris Achuff, who made a visit to Delaware to check out Graham in a private workout.

Within the 2024 class, the On3 recruiting service rates Graham as three stars, No. 58 at edge nationwide and No. 1 in Delaware.

Syracuse football has several other verbal commitments in its 2024 cycle to date, including from brothers Travon Dye, a three-star linebacker, and Trashon Dye, a three-star running back. Both are juniors at the Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, N.J.

A huge welcome and congratulations from Orange Nation to Tristen Graham, who is the latest member of the Orange’s 2024 class.
