When a friend messaged me about writing a story about this past year/season of Syracuse Orange athletics, I thought it was a great idea. And the more I thought about it and we discussed it, the more my brain became obsessed with Billy Joel, my favorite singer and number 1 on my bucket list.

And as a tribute, I wanted to share this past season’s news in poetry form via a tribute to the great Billy Joel song “We Didn’t Start The Fire.” I hope you enjoy this and go Syracuse Orange!

Here is an ode to Billy Joel as I wax poetic about Syracuse Orange sports.
