Jason Robinson from California, a four-star wide receiver and a top-450 national prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle who recently put Syracuse football in his top 10, will take an official visit to the Hill next month.

This is highly encouraging news for the Orange’s chances to prevail for the 5-foot-11, 160-pound Robinson, who took an unofficial visit to the ‘Cuse in mid-April.

Robinson’s top 10, by the way, consists of Syracuse football, Utah, Notre Dame, Colorado, Florida State, Pittsburgh, California, Penn State, Washington and Southern California.

As first reported by 247Sports national analyst Greg Biggins via Twitter, Robinson will take an official visit to the Orange on June 9, along with official visits to California on June 23 and Utah on August 31.

Syracuse football will welcome 2024 four-star WR Jason Robinson on an official visit in June.

Biggins notes that Robinson plans to take several more official visits “during the season before making his decision.” Come July 1 of this year, high-school prospects will be allowed by the NCAA to take an unlimited number of official visits.

Robinson said in interviews that his previous unofficial visit to Syracuse football increased his interest in the Orange. He has forged a strong relationship with the ‘Cuse coaching staff, especially wide receivers coach Mike Johnson.

In an interview with recruiting analyst Charles Kang of The Juice Online, Robinson said, “I’m coming back to check out the Dome. I can’t wait to be back at the Hill.”

Robinson is a standout junior at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, Calif. Last September, he committed to Southern California out of the Pac-12 Conference, but in February of this year, Robinson de-committed from USC and reopened his recruitment.

Orange coaches offered a scholarship to Robinson this past February. Throughout his recruiting process, he has picked up nearly 30 offers from a range of high-major programs, including two-time defending national champion Georgia, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Cincinnati, Colorado, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, TCU, USC, Utah, Washington State, Penn State and Washington, among others.

Rivals.com has Robinson, in the 2024 cycle, as four stars, No. 41 at wide receiver and No. 22 in California.

At the time of this writing, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rated him as four stars, No. 414 overall, No. 60 at wide receiver and No. 33 in California.

The industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking, when I penned this column, had Robinson at three stars, No. 438 nationally, No. 78 at his position and No. 31 in California.
