Jason Robinson from California, a four-star wide receiver and a top-450 national prospect in the 2024 class, recently disclosed his top 10, and Syracuse football made the cut.

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound Robinson, who took an unofficial visit to the Hill in mid-April, said via Twitter that his current top 10 consists of the Orange, Utah, Notre Dame, Colorado, Florida State, Pittsburgh, California, Penn State, Washington and Southern California.

It’s definitely encouraging to see Syracuse football make the top 10 for this elite wide receiver, although obviously, the competition is intense for the Orange as ‘Cuse coaches try to prevail in Robinson’s recruitment.

In a recent article from recruiting analyst Charles Kang of The Juice Online, it looks like Robinson plans to take an official visit to Syracuse football. Kang writes that Robinson and the ‘Cuse are working to finalize the dates for his trip to the Orange.

Syracuse football remains in the hunt for 2024 four-star wide receiver Jason Robinson.

Robinson is a standout junior at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, Calif. Last September, he committed to Southern California out of the Pac-12 Conference, but in February of this year, Robinson de-committed from USC and reopened his recruitment.

The ‘Cuse coaching staff offered a scholarship to Robinson on Feb. 9, 2023, he said on Twitter. Throughout his recruiting process, he has picked up nearly 30 offers.

His offer sheet includes two-time defending national champion Georgia, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Cincinnati, Colorado, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, TCU, USC, Utah, Washington State, Penn State and Washington, among others.

After he took an unofficial visit to the Orange last month, Robinson said in an interview with SyracuseOnSI publisher Mike McAllister that his trip to Central New York “increased my interest a lot honestly. Put them real high on my list.”

When I penned this column, there were several predictions in Notre Dame’s direction for Robinson between the 247Sports Web site and the On3 Web site.

Within the 2024 class, he is rated as a top-60 wide receiver according to several recruiting services. At the time of this writing, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite placed Robinson at No. 414 overall, No. 60 at wide receiver and No. 33 in California.

The On3 Industry Ranking, meanwhile, ranked him at No. 437 nationally, No. 78 at wide receiver and No. 31 in California.

Not too long ago, Syracuse football made the top 10 for 2024 four-star defensive back Kaj Sanders. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Sanders attends Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J.

The Orange also recently made the cut when 2024 three-star linebacker Fatim Diggs announced his top five. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Diggs is out of Eastside High School in Camden, N.J.
