Four-star junior tight end/wide receiver Korey “KJ” Duff Jr., who has amassed nearly 30 scholarship offers throughout his recruiting process, revealed a top seven via his Twitter page, and Syracuse football made the cut.

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Duff, a top-300 overall player in the 2024 class per On3, attends St. Anthony’s High School in Melville, N.Y. His top seven consist of the Orange, Rutgers, UCF, North Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M and Miami.

According to his Twitter page, Duff received a scholarship offer from Syracuse football in October of 2022. Per his Twitter account and media reports, I believe he has taken at least two unofficial visits to the Hill.

For the ‘Cuse to prevail in Duff’s recruitment, I would imagine that the Orange coaching staff needs to get him on campus for an official visit as well.

Syracuse football remains in the running for 2024 four-star tight end/wide receiver Korey “KJ” Duff Jr.

Per the MaxPreps Web site, during the 2022 season as a junior for St. Anthony’s, Duff played in 10 games, catching 42 passes for 995 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns.

In a recent article by Chad Simmons on the On3 Web site, it was stated that Duff has official visits scheduled to Rutgers on June 2 and to North Carolina on June 9. His other finalists, including the Orange, are trying to get Duff on their respective campuses for official visits, so let’s see how this plays out for the ‘Cuse coaching staff.

Per the piece from Simmons, Duff is “definitely” going to make his commitment announcement at some point this summer.

"In the On3 story, Duff had this to say about Syracuse football. “I love their plan for me, having Oronde Gadsden II there right now, doing what he does. It’s probably the most clear plan right now, just seeing him perform and knowing that I can be the next him, just come in there and do what he does now.”"

The main recruiting Web sites generally deem Duff as a top-30 tight end in the 2024 cycle, as well as a top-four prospect out of New York state in this class.

When I penned this column, On3 had Duff at No. 280 across the country. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite placed him at No. 628, while the industry-generated On3 Industry Ranking rated Duff at No. 462.

For what it’s worth, there is one analyst prediction in the direction of Miami in Duff’s recruitment on the 247Sports Web site.

Within the 2024 cycle, Syracuse football coaches have made several list cuts of late for recruits in the junior class.

Jason Robinson, a four-star wide receiver from Long Beach Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, Calif., has the Orange in his top 10.

Kaj Sanders also recently put the ‘Cuse in his top 10. Sanders, a four-star defensive back, attends Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J.

Also, three-star linebacker Fatim Diggs, out of Eastside High School in Camden, N.J., included Syracuse football in his top five not too long ago.
