Syracuse Football: RB Sean Tucker gets a grade for EA Sports video game
By Neil Adler
A national analyst has put out a fun piece where he doles out grades to top Atlantic Coast Conference players, including Syracuse football star running back Sean Tucker, for the upcoming EA Sports college football video game.
EA Sports, which is based in Redwood City, Calif., sent out a tweet in February of 2021 that its popular college football video game would be returning.
According to some media reports that I came across, this new video game could be coming back during the summer of 2023. It would be the first college football video game for EA Sports since 2014.
In any event, Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney has published an article where he lists the 10 ACC players who would score best on the video game. Tucker made the cut here.
An expert grades Syracuse football stand-out RB Sean Tucker for a college football video game.
In Gorney’s story, Sean Tucker checks in at No. 10, with a grade of 82. An All-American in 2021, Tucker broke the single-season rushing record for the Orange program by accumulating nearly 1,500 yards on the ground.
‘Cuse head coach Dino Babers has said that he believes Tucker will have an even better season this fall, although I think that will prove difficult to pull off.
Gorney, by the way, wrote that if Tucker “at least matches those numbers (from 2021) this season it would be no surprise.”
The top-10 ACC players for the EA Sports college football video game, per the Rivals.com analyst, are:
97 – Myles Murphy, Clemson defensive end
96 – Sam Hartman, Wake Forest quarterback
96 – Brennan Armstrong, Virginia quarterback
96 – A.T. Perry, Wake Forest wide receiver
94 – Bryan Bresee, Clemson defensive tackle
90 – Dontayvion Wicks, Virginia wide receiver
90 – Josh Downs, North Carolina wide receiver
88 – Malik Cunningham, Louisville quarterback
86 – Devin Leary, N.C. State quarterback
82 – Sean Tucker, Syracuse football running back
There is one caveat with Hartman. Wake Forest recently announced that, unfortunately, he will be out indefinitely due to a non-football-related condition. Obviously, wishing Sam all the best.
It’s worth noting that the only ACC running back to make the cut in Gorney’s article is Tucker. SU Athletics recently launched a Heisman Trophy campaign for the star running back ahead of the 2022 campaign.
Hopefully, Sean Tucker will be “PL34SED” with his grade from Gorney.
