Syracuse basketball 2022 four-star commit Kamari Lands is showing why he’s one of the top players in his class at the 2021 Peach Jam tournament in North Augusta, S.C.

The 6-foot-8 Lands, an elite wing in the 2022 cycle, put up some monster numbers through his first four games at this prestigious event, according to box scores and overall statistics provided by basketball.exposureevents.com.

Lands is playing for the Los Angeles-based Team Why Not in this AAU competition. In his squad’s 70-59 victory over the Chicago-based Mac Irvin Fire, Lands compiled 24 points on 9-of-17 from the field, to go along with five rebounds and three assists.

In Team Why Not’s 85-76 setback to the Orlando, Fla.-based E1T1 United, Lands produced 16 points and eight boards.

Here’s other Peach Jam performances for Syracuse basketball commit Kamari Lands.

Team Why Not lost a close one to the Baltimore-based Team Melo, 61-57. In this contest, Lands scored 20 points on 9-of-16 shooting, and he also hauled in 11 rebounds.

In another battle, the New York City-based New Heights Lightning defeated Team Why Not, 77-67. Lands tallied 20 points, seven rebounds and four assists. He was 7-of-16 from the field, including a stellar 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.

I can’t deny that it’s a bummer Team Why Not went 1-3 in its first four encounters, but Lands scored 24, 20, 20 and 16 points. ‘Cuse fans have to feel excited about those kinds of outputs.

Following the game where he notched 24 points, recruiting guru and Stockrisers.com founder Jake Weingarten said in part about Lands, “Showed how dangerous he is in transition and his proven versatility at the wing spot.”

Lands is a junior at Prolific Prep in Napa Valley, Calif. His prep-school team is going to be a national-title contender in the upcoming season.

If this Syracuse basketball commit continues to shine on the AAU circuit and for Prolific Prep, Lands could absolutely be headed toward five-star status and a top-20 overall ranking from the vast majority of primary recruiting services.

This past April, Lands gave his verbal commitment to the Orange. When he arrives on the Hill, he will amount to one of the highest-rated recruits for the ‘Cuse in recent history. The NBA potential of Lands, by extension, seems undeniable.
