Syracuse basketball may have been the first team to offer a scholarship to 2023 four-star prospect G.G. Jackson, which came last August, but the amount of national interest for him is now growing on a steady basis.

Several recruiting analysts have noted of late that the 6-foot-8 power forward is shining on the AAU circuit, and his national rankings within the 2023 class absolutely could climb in the near future.

That, in turn, could lead to more offers for Jackson, who is a sophomore at Ridge View High School in Columbia, S.C. Most recruiting services, by the way, rate Jackson as four stars and in the top-30 to top-35 overall within his class.

As we’ve noted on a couple of occasions, besides the Orange, Jackson holds offers from teams such as N.C. State, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Boston College and High Point.

Multiple media reports have indicated that fellow Atlantic Coast Conference member and blue-blood squad North Carolina is showing interest in Jackson.

Jake Lieberman also recently tweeted out that Jackson is garnering interest from Dayton, which is a terrific basketball program out of the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Syracuse basketball is in a recruiting battle for four-star forward G.G. Jackson.

Jackson recently performed well at the KC Classic in Kansas City, Mo., and we discussed in a recent column some insights provided by 247Sports national analyst Travis Branham into Jackson’s game.

Jamie Shaw, a national analyst for Rivals.com, wrote about Jackson regarding the 2023 prospect playing in a recent event at the Savage Academy in Columbia, S.C.

Shaw said that Jackson is suiting up this summer on the AAU circuit for the Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Team CP3. The Rivals.com analyst added that Jackson continues to hone his craft.

Branham recently chatted with Jackson in a separate piece on the 247Sports Web site. Jackson talked about some of the facets of his game that are improving.

"“I feel like I run the floor way harder,” Jackson told Branham. “My stamina is up and I am blocking way more shots and my jump-shot is starting to fall more.”"

As college coaches are able to watch prospects in person, Jackson will have the ability to showcase his skill-set on a big stage. That should lead to more impressive offers for him, making the challenge even greater for the Orange to win out.
