Syracuse basketball and 2023 big man Aaron Bradshaw are talking, as his national recruitment is growing.
Syracuse basketball is getting a jump-start on its recruitment of 2023 high-school players, and one prospect who has received a bunch of national attention is power forward/center Aaron Bradshaw.
The 7-foot Bradshaw is a sophomore at Roselle Catholic High School in Roselle, N.J., where former Orange guys Tyler Roberson and Malachi Richardson also suited up.
To date, per the primary recruiting services, Bradshaw holds scholarship offers from Nebraska, TCU and Texas A&M. On the AAU circuit, Bradshaw competes for New Jersey Scholars Elite, a squad based in Millburn, N.J.
As Bradshaw prepares to play his upcoming high-school campaign, expectations are strong for Roselle Catholic High School, which is ranked No. 30 across the country according to the pre-season top-50 national ratings for the 2020-21 stanza on ballislife.com.
Per an interview by Stockrisers.com founder Jake Weingarten with the talented big man, Bradshaw has spoken with Syracuse basketball, Texas A&M and Western Kentucky. He is also garnering interest from St. John’s, fellow Atlantic Coast Conference members Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, and Georgia.
Syracuse basketball is one of numerous high-quality college crews taking a look at 2023 power forward/center Aaron Bradshaw.
The recruiting Web site 247Sports recently posted its national rankings for the 2023 cycle, and Bradshaw is No. 44 overall, the No. 6 center and the No. 5 prospect in the state of New Jersey. Prep Hoops slots him at No. 19 overall in this class.
"Weingarten writes of Bradshaw, “He’s already polished around the rim and is now working on his handle and expanding his range offensively. Point is, many love his upside. It’s part of the reason several high-major programs have already entered the mix.”Orange fans will enjoy reading what Bradshaw said to Weingarten when asked about a description of his game. “I am a forward that is able to space the floor with my shooting abilities and I’m able to push the ball up the court and make a play for my teammates. I also take pride and rebounding and blocking shots.”"
It sounds to me like Bradshaw would prove a terrific fit in the Syracuse basketball system, helping to anchor the 2-3 zone and providing the ‘Cuse offense with an excellent scoring option in the paint and perhaps on the perimeter, too.
