Syracuse basketball 2022 three-star target Riley Mulvey is a fast-rising prospect gaining a lot of national attention.

Recruiting analysts have said that Syracuse basketball has a solid chance to secure the services of 2022 three-star center Riley Mulvey, however, competition for the talented big man continues to intensify.

At this juncture, per recruiting services, the 6-foot-11 Mulvey has eight scholarship offers, and they’re from the Orange, Albany, Bryant, Iowa, Massachusetts, Penn State, Siena and Yale.

Jake Weingarten, the founder of Stockrisers.com, conducted a recent interview with Mulvey, who says that other programs to recently show interest in him include Kansas, Iona and Providence.

Those are some strong squads. Kansas is one of the top teams around the country. Iona, now coached by previous ‘Cuse assistant and two-time national champion Rick Pitino, is doing extremely well on the recruiting trail of late.

Finally, Providence is a former Big East Conference foe whose current roster features sophomore guard Brycen Goodine, a transfer from the Orange.

Syracuse basketball is among a growing list of groups that really like 2022 three-star center Riley Mulvey.

Mulvey is a junior at the St. Thomas More School, a prep school in Oakdale, Conn. Prior to that, he attended the Albany Academy in Albany, N.Y., and Mulvey has suited up on the AAU circuit for the Albany City Rocks.

The ‘Cuse has a ton of tremendous connections to the Albany City Rocks, whose line-up has included Syracuse basketball 2022 commit Dior Johnson, a five-star point guard. Mulvey has spoken about the appeal of potentially playing alongside Johnson on the Hill.

While not all of the primary recruiting Web sites rank Mulvey on a national scale, I adamantly believe that will change. As he shines in his junior year, I think that Mulvey will become a four-star prospect and a top-100 player overall in the 2022 cycle.

At present, the 247Sports Composite rates Mulvey at No. 185 nationally in the 2022 class, as well as No. 22 at center and No. 2 in the state of New York.

Weingarten, one of the best recruiting experts in the business, said of Mulvey, “Coaches are very intrigued with his size and ability to read the boards and use his length to be active on second-chance points, especially putbacks.”

Given some of the struggles at the center position for Syracuse basketball in recent stanzas, Mulvey would prove a welcome addition to the Orange roster.
