Where will the Syracuse football alum land in the 2020 NFL Draft? Here are our full predictions for the best eligible former Orange stars in the NFL.

There’s no question that Syracuse football has fallen on some hard times as of late. The team hasn’t had any consistent success since the 1990s, but there’s a ray of hope on the horizon.

The upcoming 2020 NFL Draft will be the most anticipated offseason event for Orange alum in decades. Over the last six years, only three former Syracuse football players have heard their names called on draft day and all of them coming in the seventh round:

  • Chris Slayton, defensive lineman, NY Giants: 245th overall in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
  • Zaire Franklin, linebacker, Indianapolis Colts: 235th overall in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
  • Riley Dixon, punter, Denver Broncos: 228th overall in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

This year’s draft is going to be historic on a number of levels. The novel coronavirus outbreak will force the NFL Draft to be held without fans. But it’ll also be historic for a special reason.

For the first time since 2014, Syracuse is expected to have multiple players selected in the upcoming draft. This class of Orange alum is one of the deepest and most talented we’ve seen in a long time.

To celebrate this class we decided to pick the perfect NFL fits for the 12 best eligible Orange alum in this year’s draft.
