Last week we were talking about Syracuse basketball making a potential miracle run in the NCAA Tournament. Now the Orange don’t have a realistic shot of entering March Madness through traditional means. What a roller-coaster season.

With this being an ACC Tournament or bust finish for Syracuse, it renders these final five regular-season games somewhat meaningless.

Although hopefully Syracuse and Jim Boeheim don’t view it that way. While the games may not mean much in terms of the team’s NCAA standing, it is an opportunity to build chemistry and develop depth for the future.

Sadly we all know that Jim Boeheim won’t stray from his normal path and he’s going to play his six-man rotation (fouls withstanding). With that being said this Syracuse team enters a stretch where they are capable of going on a run. It starts with this contest vs Georgia Tech.

The Yellow Jackets were annihilated in the first matchup between these two squads by a whopping 34 points. Although a lot has changed for both of these teams since.

Syracuse has lost five of its last six games and the Yellow Jackets have won three out of its last four.

Despite the recency bias, the Orange are the far superior team and they’ll show that in the dome. Give me Syracuse 75-68 over Georgia Tech.
