Syracuse Basketball plays its 24th game of the season versus NC State Tuesday night. Inside The Loud House tells you how to watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball has lost some close games lately. First the heartbreaker to Clemson, and then the big game against Duke at home.

Luckily the Orange pulled out a win right before the buzzer against Wake Forst to save their season. Now the Orange must move past those tough games and focus on getting a resume-boosting win versus fringe tournament team in NC State.

The Wolfpack is 15-8 overall, a very similar record to Syracuse (14-9), and can definitely give any team a hard time. Their guards C.J. Bryce and Markell Johnson are very talented and both can rebound and pass the ball well. That really makes the offense run fluidly and can really spread teams out opening up shots for teammates.

So what should we expect?

Syracuse will need to play solid defensively in this game. Much like Duke, NC State has a variety of weapons and talent and cannot take anyone lightly. Sure the guards are great for the Wolfpack but don’t discount their forwards either. They have height and length and can really frustrate guards who like to drive the ball.

What this means for Syracuse is they’ll probably settle for a lot of outside shots and three’s because the NC State defense should be tight to protect the paint. Syracuse will have to make outside shots to make sure the bigs inside can have room to operate and score as well to create balance on offense.

Quincy Guerrier has really come on strong on offense lately and they’ll need him to chip in 10-15 points inside to have a chance. To have him score that much while Joe Girard, Elijah Hughes, and Buddy Boeheim get there’s key to getting the win at home.

We all know Syracuse has had foul trouble in recent games as well, with multiple players fouling out in games lately. A player like Marek Dolezaj staying on the floor more, rather than being benched for foul trouble would really help the Orange in this one. He’s a good defender on the wings and inside, can score when needed, but is also a great distributor. The Orange needs him to stay on the floor in this one if they want any chance.
