John Harris. 3. 847. Pick Analysis. OG. Virginia Tech. Scouting Report. player

There’s no easy way to say this, Syracuse needs as much help as physically possible to fix the offensive line woes.

After a horrendous 2019 season where the Orange were ranked among the worst offensive lines in the country, it’s time to give the unit a facelift.

Only one starter is moving on from the lineup, redshirt senior guard Evan Adams. This means at least one spot will be open and perhaps others if Dino Babers and his staff are looking to make some changes.

John Harris is a talented offensive guard who has had enough disrespect at Virginia Tech and he’s looking for smoother waters. Why not plug and play him into the trenches for the Orange?

Harris is a big boy (6-foot-5, 275 pounds) and was rated three stars coming out of high school. Syracuse was one of many teams that sent him an offer and they should rev up the recruiting train once again.

The redshirt offensive lineman struggled to find opportunities on the football field which was a major factor in his decision to enter the transfer portal.

He’s a guy that has experience at center and that would be huge for the Orange in 2020. The 2019 season collapsed partly due to starting center Sam Heckel going down and Syracuse’s inability to adapt.
