A SYRACUSE TEAM HAS FINALLY WON A GAME!

Okay now that I got that off my chest, I must say I was pretty impressed in the way the Orange looked against Colgate. Normally, I don’t take these games very seriously, but there was something that really stood out to me.

Buddy Boeheim, along with his teammates looked very confident shooting the ball. I have never seen Buddy look or play that aggressive. Buddy is a guy who can be instant offense. He can’t really create his own shot, but if he can get open, he can certainly make jump shots as good as anyone.

Elijah Hughes will be the main scorer this season, but seeing Buddy play like that is a good sign that Hughes will have some help when the Orange start playing tougher opponents.

Joe Girard has looked like the better point guard, and Jim Boeheim said JG3 will be the starting point guard vs Seattle. I personally don’t like that Boeheim threw Jalen Carey under the bus like that, unless there was some sort of pouting or argument initiated by Carey.

When it comes to the Seattle game, I expect the Orange to win easily. The key is creating confident and good habits that will translate to the ACC games. The Colgate game was a great first step, but there is still much more to work to do.

Final Score
Syracuse 75 Seattle 58
