The Syracuse Basketball team plays their 23rd game of the season against Florida State at home Tuesday evening. Inside The Loud House tells you how you can watch and listen to the game.

Syracuse basketball is playing well in ACC thus far after having four brutal non-conference losses. The Orange now sit at 7-2 in conference, according to ESPN.com, and look well on their way to making yet another NCAA tournament appearance. However, one thing stands in the way of that: the toughest part of their schedule is ahead. That stretch begins with Tuesday night’s matchup at home against Top 25 ranked Florida State.

Florida State much like Virginia Tech is a physical defensive-minded group of guys. They wear you down and have long, athletic players which makes it hard to find much offensive rhythm. Don’t get me wrong, The Seminoles can score as they average 76.8 points per game, according to ESPN.com, but they have struggled at times this year.

The Seminoles look the part of a Top 25 team, but losses to the likes of Pittsburgh and Boston College, albeit on the road, make you shake your head a little. Syracuse fans unfortunately know the feeling all too well with losses to Georgia Tech, Old Dominion, and UConn this year as well. So I give the Seminoles a little bit of a slide on those losses as wins on the road are hard to get in ACC play no matter what the opponent’s record is.

The Seminoles are led in scoring by 6-foot-10 big man Mfiondu Kabengele who averages 13 points, five rebounds, 1.1 blocks per game. However, the true leader of this talented and deep roster is senior guard Terance Mann who averages 11.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and shoots 41% from three point range. He can do a little bit of everything and in years past has give Syracuse headache with his scoring ability.

More from Syracuse Basketball

Last year the Orange narrowly lost in double overtime at Florida State, 101-90, with Battle putting on his best scoring performance in Orange with 37 points. Battle had that many points despite shooting just 11-27 from the field. His 37 points rank 18th all-time for a Syracuse player in a game tied with Syracuse greats Demetris Nichols and Preston Shumpert, according to Syracuse.com, which is some pretty good company.

The Orange may need a similar performance from Battle, minus the shooting woes again in this one if Syracuse wants the upset at home. The Seminoles are tough, but they are vulnerable. If Boston College and Pitt can beat Florida State at home, why can’t the ‘Cuse? After all, the Orange beat Duke this year when they were the No. 1 ranked team.
