Syracuse Football: Cuse brings in Mikel Jones, 4-star Linebacker
A four star linebacker that will immediately bring some star power to a position that was lacking it in 2018. Zaire Franklin and Parris Bennett were all world talent on and off the field, while Ryan Guthrie (second team All-ACC) and Kielan Whitner were serviceable, Mikel will bring some punch from IMG.
Anthony Red, OL
- 6-foot-5
- 285 pounds
- Bloomfield, Connecticut
Syracuse Football: 2019 OL Anthony Red Commits to Orange
Anthony Red brings some real beef to the offensive line for Syracuse. They need to protect their franchise quarterback in Tommy DeVito and that’s exactly what Big Red plans on doing. A three star prospect who was a top-11 overall prospect in the state of Connecticut.
Garrett Williams, CB
- 5-foot-11
- 175 pounds
- Harrisburg, NC
Syracuse Football: Orange get commit from 2019 3-star defensive back
A top-50 prospect from North Carolina and consensus three star recruit. Syracuse needs cornerbacks, especially in that tampa-2 scheme. He’s an underrated prospect who could find playing time sooner rather than later.
Matthew Bergeron, OL
- 6-foot-5
- 295 pounds
- Quebec City, Quebec, Canada
Syracuse Football: Canadian pipeline continues with OL Matthew Bergeron
Canadians never get their due. Rarely do the major recruiting services do these players justice and they come in as a bit of a mystery. But with the recent Syracuse-Canadian pipeline being established there’s a great sense that Bergeron could be one of the steals of this class.
Luke Benson, TE
- 6-foot-3
- 210 pounds
- Doylestown, PA
Syracuse Football: Orange add dynamic 2019 TE Luke Benson
Ravian Pierce is a talented prospect Syracuse got through JUCO. Now the Orange have another talented tight end they can mold to be their future. Luke Benson is a top-75 TE in the 2019 class.
Lee Kpogba, LB
- 6-foot-1
- 215 pounds
Syracuse Football: Orange get commit from 4-star LB Lee Kpogba
Another four-star linebacker who could pair with Mikel Jones to form a formidable duo for the Orange for many years to come. He had some big time offers from other programs but decided Syracuse was the perfect fit, we couldn’t agree more.
Adrian Cole, CB
- 5-foot-10
- 170 pounds
Syracuse Football: 2019 Florida DB Adrian Cole is joining the dome dudes
Adrian Cole is a January enrollee and is a bit on the smaller side at 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds. Syracuse continues their recruiting in the great state of Florida. That’s also the same location that the Orange will be participating in the Camping World Bowl on December 28th at 5:15 p.m.
Cooper Dawson, DE
- 6-foot-5
- 245 pounds
One of the best recruits in South Carolina is coming to Syracuse. He announced his decision at a ceremony inside his high school’s auditorium and it may just be one of the best recruiting announcements of all time, check out the heart warming video that has gone viral below.

- 275 pounds

Ishmael Goulbourne, DE
- 6-foot-3
- 205 pounds
Syracuse Football: Talented DE spurns major programs for SU
Another three star prospect that has a ton of potential. He went to the same high school as Syracuse safety Cam Jonas. He will have to put on some serious weight, but he could be a diamond in the rough for this class.
Cornelius Nunn Jr, S
- 5-foot-11
- 170 pounds
Syracuse Football Tale of the Tape: Safety Cornelius Nunn Commits
One of the top safeties in the country has chosen the Orange. Just imagine the pairing between Nunn and Andre Cisco in the Syracuse secondary. Could be one of the best tandems they’ve had since TeBucky Jones and Donovin Darius. Something to keep an eye on.
Geoff Cantin, LB
- 6-foot-3
- 210 pounds
Syracuse Football Tale of the Tape: LB Geoff Cantin
Syracuse Football: Canadian LB Geoffrey Cantin-Arku commits to Cuse
Canadian pipeline is going to continue to be a factor for the Orange moving forward. It makes a ton of sense, the border is right there. Canadians are severely under recruited and the Orange can take advantage and they have. You can check out the tale of the tape piece above, he’s a ferocious hitter.
Jawhar Jordan, HB
- 5-foot-9
- 165 pounds
Syracuse Football Sitdown: RB Jawhar Jordan Jr. (SU Commit)
You should recognize the name, but here’s the story. Jawhar Jordan was a 2018 guy but there were some issues with him coming onto the Orange. He has been cleared academically by the NCAA (per Syracuse.com) and should be all ready to go. Syracuse hasn’t had a 1,000 yard rusher since 2012, hopefully Jordan can flip that narrative.
