2017. . F. Atlanta Hawks. ANDREW WHITE III

I’ve had many conversations with Andrew White the third. Whether that be before he arrived in Syracuse, during, or after. He’s as humble as they come and a real gamer. Coming into Syracuse for his grad-transfer year he was an experienced player who had more to give.

While that was the case, I don’t think even the most optimistic Syracuse fan thought White would have the greatest three point shooting season in program history. After the season it just felt to me like AW3 could be a 10-15 year NBA player. He is a lights out three point shooter, solid defender, and just possesses the mental wherewithal to thrive.

All that success at SU was great but somehow it didn’t result in White getting drafted. When I spoke to him following the draft, he had a positive vibe about the situation. He said, ‘now I get to pick the situation the best fits me’.

Now White is with the Atlanta Hawks after signing a two-way contract. He’ll continue his efforts in the Hawks Summer League and I’m giving you a Spoiler Alert: White is going to be in the NBA for a very long time. BOOK IT!
