Inside The Loud House is all about Syracuse Orange sports, but it’s also about the contributors and editors who help bring you that content. Earlier this week we gave you insight and background on our Site Expert and Editor. Up next: Contributor: Josh Peelman

In case you missed our piece on our Editor and Site Expert Paul Esden Jr, check it out here:

A year ago I wouldn’t have believed I would be typing these sentences from Cartersville, Georgia. This time last year I would be all nice and comfortable at my nice big desk typing away at my computer in my own room. I was college graduate who needed a hobby, and thought blogging would be cool, so I gave it a shot. Word on the street is I liked it, … a lot.

I love Syracuse sports and am a diehard Orange fan in many aspects. You should hear me scream during SU games on television. I know they can’t hear me yelling at them, or cheering, but I don’t care. It’s that kind of stuff that makes sports fun and entertaining.

I have been a Syracuse fan almost as long as I can remember. Up to last year, I had lived in Syracuse (Liverpool to be precise) for the last 18 years. It was my home and always had been. I lived with my Dad, my Mom (who passed away in 2015), my older brother Zach, and my younger sister Colleen. We had a lot of great times together over the past 23 years. I did grow up the first five years of my life in the south though.

My hometown is Charlottesville, Virginia. As some of you probably know that is the home of UVA, also known as the University of Virginia. Since I was so young and barely knew of sports as a kindergartner, I never became a fan of the Cavaliers though.

After moving to New York because my Dad got a job in Syracuse, I grew to love playing outside with my basketball hoop because it was actually cool outside. In Virginia, it was always sweltering hot, especially in summer. A few years later, my love for the game of basketball grew when Syracuse Basketball won the National title.

My love for the university grew the more I watched the recording of the title game on VHS. Within a year’s time you would see me attending my very first Syracuse Football game, and the rest is history.

In the past 13 years or so, my Dad and I always went to games together. We attended at least one game annually for my birthday. It was our special thing which is why every year I eagerly would ask in August which one we would attend so we could get tickets early. We had a blast shaking the car keys, screaming loudly, waving my giant Orange finger, and looking through the sports program together.

I vowed when I was younger that when I was older I would play for Syracuse athletics in some fashion. Of course that never happened, but it was fun to dream.

After high school, I went to Onondaga Community College, also known as OCC. I was a General Studies major for my two semesters there, but switched my Major to Broadcasting & Mass Communications when I transferred to SUNY Oswego in Fall 2012.

During my three years at SUNY Oswego I took a lot of video and audio production courses. It was there I met our fine editor and site expert Paul Eden Jr for the first time. We shared multiple classes together, in addition to working on a project or two. We reunited when I joined this site’s staff mid-last year.

My education and experiences at Oswego state taught me several audio and video editing software’s. It is with that knowledge I hope to use to edit films, movies, and music in the future. In the meantime though, I am more than content writing to you fine people all about Syracuse sports.

I graduated in May 2015 from SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Broadcasting & Mass Media Communications. From there life moved fast and before you know it I asked my fiancee of 5 years (my best friend for 10 years) to marry me. No story about where I come from would be incomplete without her. My fiancee Rebecka, a Syracuse Alum herself, is one of the main reasons I moved to Georgia last year, in addition to advancing my career. (that will come in time)

I know living outside of Atlanta puts me in Georgia Tech territory, but for those who are worried, I haven’t been turned to the dark side. I still bleed Orange, which is why I write for this site so much. My love for Syracuse University and its sports teams, no matter how much they struggle, will never waver.

Syracuse like I said is home, no matter where I am. So can southern boys still bleed Orange? You bet they can! I’m living proof. Yeah, I may not have been born and raised down here, but having lived in the south for six out of my combined 24 years, I can truthfully say it is possible to bleed orange no matter where you are, as long as you stay loyal to them.

Now that you know a little bit more about me, I hope now you can understand why I write the way I write and why I write as much as I do. I love Syracuse athletics and have a passion specifically for their lacrosse, basketball (men’s and women’s) and football teams. In the future, it is my hope that my writing means something to someone, and that it inspires future generations of Orange faithful to write about the teams and players they love watching and hearing about. In the meantime, I’ll continue to inform the current one. Until next time Orange fans!
