Both Syracuse women's and men's basketball will face Oklahoma in this season's ACC/SEC Challenge, with ESPN revealing the tip-off times and broadcast information for all the games in this annual event on Monday.
Syracuse women's basketball is hosting Oklahoma at the JMA Wireless Dome on Thursday, Dec. 3. The non-conference encounter will commence at 7:00 pm EST, with television coverage on ESPNU. On the men's side, the Orange will travel to the Sooners on Tuesday, Dec. 1, beginning at 9:00 pm EST and with TV coverage on ESPNU.
Per the ESPN release on Monday, announcer pairings for the ACC/SEC Challenge in women's and men's hoops "will be announced closer to the event."

Last season, Syracuse women's basketball went 24-9 overall and reached the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Oklahoma, meanwhile, was 26-8 overall and advanced to the Sweet 16 of this past spring's Big Dance.
SU women's hoops and the Sooners have only met once in the past. Back in the 2011-12 season, Oklahoma beat Syracuse, 82-63, at a neutral site in Las Vegas. In ESPN's super-early preseason top 25 ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, the Sooners checked in at No. 24 when the rankings were published in late April.

In 2025-26, SU men's hoops went 15-17 overall, with former standout guard Gerry McNamara taking over the program's helm this past March. The Sooners, led by head coach Porter Moser, were 21-16 overall and reached the title game of the College Basketball Crown, where they lost to West Virginia.
Much like the women's programs, Syracuse men's basketball and Oklahoma haven't squared off all that much. In their short all-time series together, they are tied 2-2. Their most recent game occurred in the Sweet 16 of the 2009 NCAA Tournament, which the Sooners won, 84-71. Oklahoma, in 2008-09, was led by former NBA star big man Blake Griffin, who was the national player of the year that season.
However, let's not forget that Syracuse men's basketball, as a No. 3 seed, upset No. 1 seed Oklahoma in the Elite Eight of the 2003 March Madness, propelling the Orange to the Final Four. As we all know, Syracuse men's basketball would capture its first and only national championship in 2003, led by Carmelo Anthony and McNamara, among others.
