Syracuse women's basketball head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and her staff have headed overseas again to find their latest roster addition for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

SU Athletics announced on Friday that Célaine Ricco, a 5-foot-7 guard from Seine-et-Marne, France, has joined the Orange for 2026-27. Seine-et-Marne is in the northern part of the country.

According to the 'Cuse program, Ricco has "a decorated background in French youth and national competition." She has competed in the 2024 FIBA U18 EuroBasket, the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup and, currently, the 2026 FIBA U20 EuroBasket.

France is 4-0 at the 2026 FIBA U20 EuroBasket, which is being held in Lithuania. Ricco is averaging 5.6 minutes and 1.5 points per game.

Per the release, in her tenure suiting up for the French national teams, Ricco has averaged 2.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game over 14 contests. The 2024 FIBA U18 team captured a gold medal.

In high school, Ricco played for USO Mondeville from 2020 to 2024 and won the U18 French national championship, according to the statement from Syracuse Athletics.

Syracuse women's basketball has added Célaine Ricco to its 2026-27 roster.

On cuse.com, the Orange lists 13 players on its roster for the upcoming season (not including Ricco). The team's roster limit, per the NCAA, is 15 players. Earlier this month, Syracuse announced that 5-foot-10 guard Elif Çayir, a native of Ankara, Turkey, had transferred to SU.

Here are the Orange's eight new additions for 2026-27:
•Célaine Ricco, a guard from Seine-et-Marne, France
•Elif Çayir, a guard from Ankara, Turkey
•Iowa sophomore wing Emely Rodriguez
•Temple junior forward Jaleesa Molina
•SMU graduate student guard Tyi Skinner
•Oregon junior forward Sarah Rambus
•Forward Destiny Robinson of St. Mary's College Preparatory High School in Manhasset, N.Y.
•Guard Madison Howard of Monsignor Scanlan High School in the Bronx, N.Y.

The 'Cuse went 24-9 overall last season and reached the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament. In a massive development for the program, Felisha Legette-Jack and her assistants retained rising sophomore center Uche Izoje, who was the ACC's rookie of the year in the 2025-26 stanza. Junior wing Shy Hawkins is also coming back in 2026-27.

Like many college teams, Syracuse women's basketball will have a revamped roster this coming season. In late April, in his super early bracketology projections for the 2027 Big Dance, ESPN's Charlie Creme had the Orange as a No. 10 seed.
