Syracuse men's and women's basketball will kick off this latest installment of 'Cuse sports news. We begin with Orange men's hoops, which will head to Philadelphia for a non-conference double-header in mid-November.

We already knew about this match-up between Syracuse basketball and Coastal Athletic Association member Drexel, although a press release from SU Athletics this week has provided more details.

First of all, the double-header is branded as "Basketball on Broad: Autumn Invitational." Catchy marketing slogan. The Orange will play Drexel, while La Salle takes on Penn State. Match-up times will be disclosed at a later date.

The games will transpire on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. In their all-time series, Syracuse basketball is 4-1 against Drexel, which has posted five straight winning seasons under head coach Zach Spiker, who played in college at Ithaca.

Here's a recent column that I had on the full 13-game non-conference docket for the Orange in the upcoming 2025-26 term.
