The losses continue for Fran Brown and the Syracuse football team. But we can at least take some solace that members of the Orange family are getting a chance to play on Sundays, with some of them winning games. In fact, a few former Syracuse players made a big impact during their team's victories in Week 6. Let's catch up on the former Orange in the NFL this week.
Riley Dixon, Buccaneers
Unfortunately for Dixon and the Bucs, they let a 16-3 fourth-quarter leader get away from them, ultimately losing in overtime to the Steelers. Dixon was called on to punt six times, including a long punt of 52 yards.
Ifeatu Melifonwu, Buccaneers
The injury to Antoine Winfield a few weeks ago has opened the door for Melifonwu to get regular playing time with the Tampa defense. He had his best game of the season on Sunday, collecting four tackles for the second straight week.
Zaire Franklin, Packers
Franklin captained a Green Bay defense that had a dominant game on Sunday night. The Packers beat the Cowboys 23-13, shutting out Dallas in the first half. Franklin had something of a quiet night with just three tackles. However, he delivered a memorable hit on Dak Prescott that led to an incomplete pass in the end zone.

Andre Cisco, Jets
In a losing effort, Cisco worked his way back into a more prominent role with the Jets. His role was diminished after Minkah Fitzpatrick returned from injury, and after a couple of weeks in a reserved role, Cisco saw more action in Week 6. He finished with three tackles, including two solo tackles, in a 26-19 loss to the Patriots.
Andre Szmyt, Browns
It happened again! Once again, Szmyt was the hero in a last-minute Cleveland win. Just a few minutes after he missed a go-ahead field goal, Szmyt redeemed himself with a 37-yard field goal on the final play of the game to give the Browns a 13-10 win over the Ravens. Having made a 48-yard field goal earlier in the game and nailing his only PAT, Szmyt was responsible for seven of his team’s 13 points, moving the Browns to 4-2 on the season.

Garrett Williams, Cardinals
What a win for the Cardinals! They pulled off an 18-16 upset over the Rams as a double-digit road underdog. Williams was a big part of the defensive effort that held the Los Angeles offense in check. He collected six tackles, including five solo tackles, helping to hold the Rams to just 222 passing yards.
Oronde Gadsden, Chargers
The Chargers continue to spiral, losing 22-6 to the Chiefs, dropping to 0-6 on the season. Gadsden, in particular, continues to have a rocky season. He got five targets on Sunday, but only ended up with three catches for 17 yards.
