The Syracuse football team earned a much-needed win on Saturday. On Sunday, several former Syracuse players followed that up with impressive performances of their own. While some familiar faces didn't see much of the field, one of our favorite Syracuse players made his triumphant return to the NFL field. A few others made a lasting impact for their teams as well. Let's look at how former Orange players fared in Week 4.
Andre Szmyt, Browns
The Browns might actually be good this season, and Szmyt continues to be a key contributor. Szmyt nailed a 56-yard field goal at the buzzer to give the Browns a 27-24 win over the Steelers on Thursday night. He also hit a 44-yard field goal earlier in the fourth quarter and made all three of his PATs. Cleveland is 3-1, and unlike some NFL teams, the Browns have a kicker they can trust.

Alijah Clark, Cowboys
With injuries in the Dallas secondary, Clark had to play more snaps than usual. Unfortunately, Clark became a part of the injury report, getting carted off with an ankle injury. Initially questionable to return, Clark returned to the field later in the game. He finished with two tackles as the Cowboys beat the Texans in a 34-30 thriller.
Zaire Franklin, Packers
As a leader of the Green Bay defense, Franklin played a big role in the team’s 17-14 win over the Buccaneers. His eight tackles helped the Packers to hold on for a close win.
Sean Tucker, Buccaneers
While it came in a losing effort, Tucker finally got on the field. Similar to last season, the Bucs used Tucker in short-yardage situations near the goal line, leading to his two-yard touchdown run. Ultimately, Tucker had just three carries for 10 yards. But he found the end zone when called upon, perhaps opening the door to more touches next week.

Riley Dixon, Buccaneers
Despite scoring only 14 points, Tampa only called on Dixon to punt four times. He averaged 40 yards per punt, doing his part for the winless Buccaneers.
Oronde Gadsden, Chargers
The losing continues for the Chargers, but Gadsden had his best game of the season in Week 4. He had a season-high eight targets, collecting five catches for 36 yards. On one of those catches, Gadsden showed off his juggling skills to pick up a key first down. The tight end room is a little crowded for the Chargers, but this game was a good reminder of what Gadsden can do in the passing game.

Garrett Williams, Cardinals
Williams is still working his way back from an injury, but he looked much improved in Week 4 after making his season debut last week. He made three tackles and had one defended pass. Williams also contributed to a sack while coming on a blitz. Of course, the Cardinals also gave up 250 passing yards to Jameis Winston, losing to the Giants 36-24.
