Injuries continue to be a problem for the current Syracuse football team, as well as some former players. Matthew Bergeron’s streak of consecutive starts to begin his career is over because of an injury. The Jets also placed Andre Cisco on IR this week with a pectoral injury. On the bright side, there were some strong performances from the former Syracuse players healthy enough to take the field in week 10.
Oronde Gadsden, Chargers
For the first time since he had his breakout game, Gadsden had a subpar effort. He caught just three passes for 13 yards on six targets. But this figures to be just a temporary setback.
Andre Szmyt, Browns
The Browns lost an ugly game to the Jets, although Szmyt played his part. He made both of his PATs and hit two field goals, including one from 45 yards out. He’s now converted 12 of his 15 field goal attempts and 14 of his 15 PATs this season.
Zaire Franklin, Colts
Franklin and his teammates traveled to Berlin this week, with the former Syracuse linebacker nearly stealing the show. He led the Colts with 10 tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss. His sack came on a third-down play in overtime, giving the Colts the ball and ultimately setting up the game-winning touchdown for the now 8-2 Colts.

Sean Tucker, Buccaneers
It took some time, but Tucker is finally getting an equal share of the carries with Rachaad White while Bucky Irving remains out. Tucker had nine carries to White’s 10 in week 10, but it was Tucker leading the Bucs in rushing with 53 yards on those nine carries, whereas White had just 38 yards. Unfortunately, the Bucs still lost to the Patriots 28-23.
Riley Dixon, Buccaneers
Dixon had to punt six times in Tampa’s loss to the Patriots. Two of those punts Dixon managed to put inside the 20, while he had a long of 50 yards on another solid day.
Ifeatu Melifonwu, Dolphins
Bills fans will have a beef with Melifonwu after this game. He intercepted Josh Allen in the end zone at the end of what surely looked like a scoring drive for the Bills in their 30-13 loss to the Dolphins.

LeQuint Allen, Jaguars
One can hardly blame Allen for the Jags blowing a 29-10 lead to the Texans on Sunday. Once again, he had a modest role to play outside of blocking, making just one catch for six yards on his only target of the day.
Garrett Williams, Cardinals
It was a long day for Williams and the Arizona defense in a 44-22 loss to the Seahawks. However, most of Seattle’s yards came on the ground, not against the Arizona secondary. Williams also had six tackles, which tied for the team lead.
