In late May 2025, Syracuse football offered a scholarship to 2029 four-star defensive lineman/edge rusher Kymani Nicholas. That represented the first offer for the ultra-talented Sunshine State product.
While it's early on in Nicholas' recruitment, the Orange is among those suitors currently standing out to him, according to national analysts. The 'Cuse staff is pushing to get the 6-foot-5, 290-pound Nicholas on the Hill at some point for a visit, a source tells Inside the Loud House.
Nicholas is one of the highest-ranked juniors around the country. Per 247Sports, within the 2029 class, he is No. 10 overall, No. 3 at defensive lineman and No. 4 in Florida. The industry-generated Rivals Industry Ranking places him at No. 13 nationally, No. 2 at edge and No. 3 in Florida.

According to recruiting services, besides Syracuse football, Nicholas' early scholarship offer sheet includes schools such as Boston College, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Ole Miss, Liberty, South Florida and Texas A&M.
Syracuse football is in pursuit of 2029 4-star DL/edge rusher Kymani Nicholas.
Nicholas spent his freshman year at Bishop Verot Catholic High School in Fort Myers, Fla. According to his MaxPreps bio, in the 2025 campaign, Nicholas tallied 13 solo tackles, 26 total tackles, four tackles for a loss, two sacks and 10 quarterback hurries.
For his sophomore season, which is currently underway, Nicholas is competing for Cape Coral High School in Cape Coral, Fla. Per MaxPreps, in the 2026 campaign so far, he has registered two solo tackles, five total tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and one forced fumble.
Andrew Ivins, the director of high school scouting for 247Sports, published an evaluation on Nicholas this past August. Ivins wrote in part about this Syracuse football recruiting target: "Young battering ram that could project to either side of the ball. ... Creates early entry on defense with his initial surge. ... Much better flowing forward than he is sliding laterally, but gives effort in pursuit. ... Must find ways to unlock lower half, but put strong spells of play on tape as a 9th grader. ... Should be viewed as a potential building block up front that can play anything from a 0 to 4 technique."
Inside the Loud House will continue to monitor whether Nicholas ends up taking a game-day visit to the Orange this fall.
