Syracuse football, following a thrilling overtime win against Virginia Tech on the Hill last Saturday afternoon, hits the road again in week 11.
The Orange, after storming back to defeat the Hokies by a final count of 38-31 at the JMA Wireless Dome, has clinched post-season bowl eligibility for the third year in a row. Now the 'Cuse has its sights set on improving its standing in the Atlantic Coast Conference while potentially landing in a top-tier bowl at the 2024 season's conclusion.
Up next for Syracuse football is a date this Saturday afternoon with long-time rival Boston College, a group that is struggling these days after a fast start to the current campaign.
First-year head coach Fran Brown and his top-flight staff have done a great job with the Orange program in the 2024 term, as Syracuse football looks to finish strong. After the 'Cuse travels to Boston College, Syracuse football will face California on the road then wrap up this season with home battles versus UConn and top-five Miami.

Syracuse football at Boston College prediction and pick
In their all-time series together, per SU Athletics, the 'Cuse is 34-23 against the Eagles. During their most recent meeting, in early November of 2023, Boston College scored a 17-10 triumph over Syracuse football at the Dome.
The Eagles have lost three consecutive ACC encounters. To date in the 2024 season, Boston College has victories over Florida State, Duquesne, Michigan State and Western Kentucky. Conversely, the Eagles have fallen to Missouri, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Louisville.
While the Orange is currently averaging 31.8 points per game on offense, Boston College has a solid defense, checking in at No. 3 within the ACC in allowing 22.0 points per contest. For some context, though, the Eagles do give up 365.4 total yards per affair, which is just No. 11 in the ACC.
Boston College junior quarterback Thomas Castellanos doesn't throw for a ton of yards, but he's highly efficient. He's currently No. 2 within the ACC in his efficiency rating, completing 63.0 percent of his attempts for 1,352 yards and 17 touchdowns against just four interceptions.
While league games on the road are always challenging, I like Syracuse football to knock off a struggling Boston College this coming Saturday by a touchdown, 31-24.
