Syracuse basketball will play 13 non-conference games in the upcoming 2025-26 season, and we know six of those contests. Sort of.
On Thursday, CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein noted, via his X account, that the Orange will host fellow Empire State team Binghamton at the JMA Wireless Dome during the upcoming campaign.
The date, tip-off time and broadcast information for this non-conference encounter will come at some point sooner rather than later, I imagine, when SU Athletics releases the full non-conference docket for the 'Cuse in 2025-26.

Binghamton, a school located about 80 miles from Syracuse University, suits up in the America East Conference. A term ago, the Bearcats went 15-17 overall and 7-9 in league play. Binghamton's head coach, Levell Sanders, will be in his fifth season at the helm of the program in 2025-26.

Looking ahead to next season, the Bearcats have added at least five transfers, including players from Buffalo, George Mason and La Salle, according to the Binghamton athletics department Web site.
Per SU Athletics, in their all-time series together, the 'Cuse is 5-0 against this fellow New York squad, and Syracuse basketball has won every game by a large margin. Most recently, in the 2013-14 campaign, the Orange beat Binghamton at the Dome, 93-65.
Here's the Syracuse basketball 2025-26 non-conference schedule to date.
Besides hosting Binghamton, the 'Cuse will welcome Tennessee to the Hill on December 2 as part of the annual ACC/SEC Challenge. Per college basketball analyst Rocco Miller, Syracuse basketball will also face Northeast Conference member Mercyhurst at the Dome.
Additionally, in late November, the Orange will have three games at the name, image and likeness-driven Players Era Festival that will take place in Las Vegas. The 18-team field also includes Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Creighton, Gonzaga, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, Rutgers, San Diego State, Saint Joseph's, St. John's, Tennessee and UNLV.
That's quite a list, with many of those squads having gone on deep March Madness runs in recent seasons, such as Kansas winning it all in 2022 as well as Baylor in 2021, and others reaching the national title game or the Final Four, like Alabama, Auburn, Gonzaga, Houston and San Diego State.
In late May, the Orange's pairings for its 18-game slate in the Atlantic Coast Conference were announced. ACC officials, for 2025-26, decided to increase the non-conference schedule for league members from 11 to 13 contests while reducing the conference calendar from 20 to 18 affairs.
