Syracuse basketball has displayed an interest in Florida Atlantic transfer big man Devin Williams, a redshirt sophomore from Riverside, Calif.

That's according to the X account The Portal Report, which notes that Williams, a power forward/center, has received interest from the Orange, Kentucky, N.C. State, Clemson, USC, Seton Hall, Arizona, Miami, George Washington, Washington State, Hawaii, Stanford and Boston College.

The 6-foot-10, 210-pound Williams, who also previously played in college at UCLA, is rated as three stars, No. 242 overall and No. 31 at center, according to national transfer rankings from 247Sports.

In the 2025-26 campaign, Florida Atlantic, a member of the American Conference, went 18-15 overall. As a redshirt sophomore for the Owls this past term, Williams appeared in all 33 games, averaging 23.8 minutes, 7.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.6 blocks per contest while making 51.0 percent from the field, 30.6 percent from beyond the arc and 67.4 percent from the free-throw line.

As a prep recruit, Williams was a three-year player for the powerhouse Centennial High School in Corona, Calif. He helped lead Centennial to three straight CIF Southern Section Open Division titles.

Within the 2023 class, the industry-generated 247Sports placed Williams as four stars, No. 74 nationally, No. 16 at power forward and No. 13 in California.

The transfer portal opened on April 7 and runs through April 21. Head coach Gerry McNamara and his staff are constructing their 2026-27 roster, and from my perspective, SU could use another center and a forward to help fill out the team's front-court.

The Orange's roster for the 2026-27 stanza currently features:
•Ryan Moesch, a 2026 four-star point guard from Central New York
•Mark Morano Mahmutovic, a 2026 four-star wing from Slovenia
•Center Abdramane Siby, a 2026 prospect from Mali
•Freshman guard Kiyan Anthony
•Freshman forward Sadiq White Jr.
•Freshman wing Calvin Russell III
•Sophomore guard Noah Lobdell
•Sophomore guard Aiden Tobiason, a four-star transfer from Temple
•Junior guard Garwey Dual, a four-star transfer from McNeese State
•Sophomore guard Gavin Doty, a four-star transfer from Siena
•Junior power forward/center Tasman Goodrick, a transfer from Siena
